Three slow days by the sea in Sithonia. A boat to the *Blue *Lagoon, vows on the sand, a long table that runs *until *late, and a last swim in the pines. All we're missing is *you.

Where

Sithonia, the quiet finger of Halkidiki

A pine-covered peninsula in northern Greece, between Kassandra and Mount Athos. Our base is Ormos Panagias, a small fishing village on its east coast. A few minutes south, the little bay of Livari in Vourvourou is where Friday's boat leaves for the islets of Diaporos.

The hotel, Linari Sea & Suites, sits on Trani Ammouda beach, about 500 metres from the village. Everything on Friday and Saturday is a few minutes away.

Boat tour around Diaporos

From Livari, Vourvourou

We sail around the island and its little coves, then drop anchor in the Blue Lagoon. Swim, float, and have a drink at Cantina Del Mar, the floating tiki bar. Exact departure time to follow.

Right by the water, looking back at the fishing village as the light goes. Drinks, no agenda. There are restaurants right next to the bar, so eat before or after, as you like.

Kavourotrypes coast

Two small coves of white rock, fine sand and pine shade, with a canteen above the beach serving fresh food and drinks. Come whenever you surface.

Getting there

By car, south of Vourvourou

The last stretch is an unpaved road, then a few minutes' walk through the pines. Share cars where you can.

Linari Sea & Suites is ours for Friday and Saturday night, at a rate we negotiated for you: €109 per room per night, breakfast included. There are only 11 rooms, so they'll go quickly.

Fly to Thessaloniki

The nearest airport is Thessaloniki (SKG), about 120 km from Ormos Panagias. Rent a car at the airport if you can: you'll want one for Sunday's beach anyway.

Questions

Can I stay somewhere else?

Of course. Ormos Panagias, Vourvourou and Nikiti all have hotels and apartments a short drive away. Book early: June fills up.

What's the weather like?

Early June is warm and sunny, typically in the high 20s °C during the day, with the sea around 22°. Bring a light layer for the evening.

Are kids welcome?

Yes, of course! Just add them under "Coming with" in the RSVP so we can plan for them.

What should I wear on Saturday?

Something relaxed, nothing formal. It'll be warm and sunny. The ceremony is on sand, so think about your shoes.

What about gifts?

We don't have a gift list. If you'd like to give us something, a contribution towards our next adventure together would mean a lot. There'll be a box for cards on the day, but for safety please don't bring cash. A bank transfer is best: IBAN coming soon

Do I need cash?

Bring some for the tiki bar and the beach canteens. Cards work almost everywhere else.
